We’re officially T-minus 23 hours until the biggest Eagles game in over a decade takes place. In honor of such a big game, we at PHLEaglesNation have decided to do something we’ve never done before; score predictions. We’ve put aside our bias to the best of our ability to bring you guys our thoughts on the big game. Enjoy.

Max: Eagles 34, Patriots 24

Explanation: I’m a firm believer in the mantra that football games are won or lost in the trenches. Luckily for the Birds, this is by far their biggest advantage. Sure it’s hard to bet against the greatest head coach/QB combo of all time, but in the end, it’ll be Philadelphia’s offensive and defensive line that allow the Eagles to bring home their first Lombardi trophy. Foles does just enough, but it the Eagles deadly trio of running backs who wreak havoc (behind that offensive line) for 150+ total yards and two TD’s.

Ricky: Eagles 31, Patriots 27

Explanation: The Eagles defense becomes the difference maker in the game as they are able to knock Brady around early. They end up making some huge third down stops in the second half when needed. Nick Foles preforms well on the big stage with 2 TD’s for 150+ yards and 1 INT. LeGarrette Blount punches in a red zone TD against his former team, and the Eagles take home the hardware.

Calvin: Eagles 28, Patriots 24

Explanation: Eagles D does what they do best and stops Brady on a late drive to win it. Foles throws for two touchdowns and zero picks for 257 yards and Blount runs all over his former team to the tune of 80 yards and two TD’s (and a super Bowl MVP). Patrick Robinson picks of the GOAT to seal the deal.

Ben: Eagles 24, Patriots 14

Explanation: Eagles D shuts down the run early and gets after Brady the rest of the game to the tune of four sacks. Foles steps up again with 225+ passing yards and 2 TD’s. The Eagles trio of running backs rack 180+ total yards and add a score of their own.

Clay: Eagles 31, Patriots 21

Explanation: Down three points late in the fourth, Tom Brady attempts to pull off another comeback win in the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for him, he gets picked off and the Eagles D returns it all the way for six. Foles adds two TD’s of his own, and Blount picks up one of his own. Eagles D-line brings down Brady three times.

Sean: Eagles 27, Patriots 21

Explanation: Eagles bring pressure early and often as the get four big sacks. Foles finishes with 260 yards and a TD. But it Jay Ajayi and LeGarrette Blount who come up big, to the tune of 140 rushing yards and one TD.

As you can see, we’re fairly confident in an Eagles win. And while there’s certainly some bias peeking through, these are our thoughts for what happens tomorrow. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed, and don’t forget to leave your own predictions in the comments.
