Philadelphia: The battles in the Ivy League are very intense especially playing back to back days on Friday & Saturday Nights and that is what we had on Saturday night as the Penn Quakers took on the Yale Bulldogs from the “the Cathedral of College Basketball” The Palestra on the Campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Penn comes into game with 14-6 (4-0 in Ivy League) and off a overtime win vs Brown on February 2 while the Yale Bulldogs enter battle with the Quakers 9-12 (2-3 in Ivy League) and off a overtime loss to Princeton also on February 2.

Penn won the tip to start the game, Yale would open the scoring as they would open up a 4-0 on baskets from Miye Oni, The Quakers would get on the board on basket from Ryan Betley. Yale would keep this game close as they got the lead down to 1 on 5 separate situations with the last one being at 8:16 left as the Quakers lead 17-16. Penn would get the lead up to 9 at 29-20 with 4:07 left. The Quakers would take a 31-25 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Bulldogs would try to keep the game close but the Quakers would have an answer. The Quakers would grow an 11 point lead on 3 separate times with the last one being 53-42 with 3:56 left. The Quakers would ride to a 59-50 win to remain undefeated in Ivy League. With the win, Penn now goes to 15-6 (5-0 in Ivy League) and now head on to the road to take on Princeton on February 6 and with the loss Yale falls to 9-13 (2-4 in Ivy League) and look to get back to their winning ways when they take on Columbia on February 9.
