As Eagles fans got ready for Sunday’s big game against the Seattle Seahawks, Howie Roseman locked up one of Carson Wentz’s biggest targets. Wentz’s number one receiver will be here for another four years. The man that just got payed big time is Alshon Jeffery. The Eagles will be competitors in the NFC East for many years as they are locking up their core players on both sides of the ball.

Today, Alshon Jeffery signed a four year contract extension through 2021, worth $52 million and $27 million of that is guaranteed. This is a huge deal for the Eagles offense as they look to score many touchdowns now and in the future.

All Eagles fans have to be overjoyed with this deal as Wentz and Jeffery will look to build their chemistry and continue to be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. The front office has done a phenomenal job in ensuring that the team can keep these young superstars and build around them for the future.

The Philadelphia Eagles will benefit greatly from this deal as they can feel confident they finally have a number one receiver. Alshon Jeffery is a big, tall receiver with a combination of down hill speed and fantastic catching ability in the red zone.

Jeffery’s teammates took to Twitter when they found out about the big signing.

While the Eagles look to maintain their current success and accomplishments, the team can feel assured about this signing as they ultimately have an outstanding player at wide receiver. Wentz is both excited and pumped to be able to play with Alshon for at least another four years as the Birds look to make deep playoff runs in the future.

All in all, the Philadelphia Eagles are building their team so that they can be a powerhouse for years to come. Jeffery and the Birds will look to extend their nine game winning streak this week when they face the Seattle Seahawks on the road. This is a huge game for the Eagles as they can clinch the NFC East if they are to beat the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.
