Eagles defensive end Chris Long plans to donate the rest of his 2017 salary in his effort to support education equality in cities like St. Louis, Boston, and Philadelphia. Long also donated his first six game checks to help set up scholarships for students in his hometown of Charlottesville Virginia. This means that Long will not make any money during the 2017 season. Long signed a 2-year, $4,500,000 contract with the Eagles as a free agent, and he has a base salary of $1,000,00 and and a signing bonus of $500,000 in 2017 per Spotrac.com.
