PHILADELPHIA, P.A. – The Super Bowl of the Arena Football League came to the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia in front of 13,648 fans Saturday night, as the Philadelphia Soul won their second straight AFL title as they edged the Tampa Bay Storm 44-40 in ArenaBowl XXX.

Tampa Bay would start the game with the ball, only for the Soul to stop them on fourth down, as defensive back James Romain intercepted Tampa Bay quarterback Randy Hippeard.

The Soul opening drive would not end good as kicker Adrian Trevino missed a field goal and Tampa Bay returned the ball 57 yards for touchdown and an early 6-0 lead. The Soul got on the board in the second quarter on a two-yard touchdown as Dan Raudabaugh found wide receiver and ArenaBowl MVP Darius Prince for a 7-6 lead. Both teams would exchange scores in the second quarter, leaving Tampa Bay with the 20-14 halftime lead.

Raudabaugh found wide receiver Darius Reynolds across the end zone for a 21-20 lead to begin the third quarter. Both teams would play good defense and make some big scores in the second half.
