On Monday Night the Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 to close the college football season, in what will be remembered as one of the best title games of all time. There were several prospects on both teams that will be playing football on Sundays in the near future. With the pre-draft process coming up, lets take a look at 4 prospects from the title game that could be of interest to the Eagles.
CB Tony Brown: Junior, Alabama
The former 5-star recruit from the 2014 class out of Texas returned from a 4 game suspension earlier this year and earned his way back on the field. He has played in 35 games and has made 7 starts. While he has limited experience in terms of starting, his 6 foot frame and 4.3 speed make him a potential developmental prospect for the Eagles in the mid to late rounds.
DT Carlos Watkins: RSS, Clemson
With the pending free agency of Bennie Logan the Eagles could find themselves in the market for a starting quality lineman. The Redshirt Senior improved his draft stock this season with a 8.5 sacks and was a constant force in the middle of the Tigers defense.
WR Mike Williams: RSJ, Clemson
The Clemson Star showed up all season for the Tigers and showed up big time in the title game with 8 catches for 94 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles are looking to improve their receiving core this offseason and Williams could be a potential impact player in the first round.
CB Marlon Humphrey: RSO, Alabama
The two-year starter is coming off of two back to back national title runs and has started all 27 games that he has appeared in. Humphrey is battle tested and his over 6 ft frame in combination with his speed makes him one of the higher rated corners in this years draft class.
