The Philadelphia Union have re-signed Charlie Davies to a one year deal. Davies is a forward who joined the Union midway through the 2016 after a trade with the New England Revolution. Davies made eight appearances for the Union during the 2016 campaign, notching just one assist for the Union.

Besides the Union, Davies has also played for 6 other teams; Westchester Flames (2006), Hammarby (2007-2009), DC United (2011), Sochaux (2009-2012), Randers FC (2012-2014) and New England Revolution (2014-2016). The 2015 season with the New England Revolution saw Davies score 10 goals in 33 appearances. Davies has 17 appearances for the US National Team during his career.

Charlie Davies has overcome some personal obstacles during his soccer career, battling liposarcoma and the birth of his premature twins.
