Over recent years, we have seen great changes within the world of sports. After the implementation of instant replay in the MLB, it seems as though more changes are on the way.

On October 18, Darren Rovell of ESPN.com confirmed that the MLB will reportedly switch uniform manufacturers, transitioning from Majestic Athletic to Under Armour for the 2020 MLB season. Though this news does not carry the same weight as the implementation of instant replay, it certainly does spark the cause for conversation.

Since 2005, Majestic has made all official MLB uniforms, and if Under Armour’s recent deal with colleges across the country, specifically University of Maryland is any indication, the Phillies may take the field with an almost unrecognizable look in 2020.

Furthermore, since 2008, the Phillies have had more or less the same look. Though there have not been any official announcements made or information released as of yet, there is a good chance that we could be seeing major changes in 2020.

Will this mark the beginning of a new era for the Phillies franchise? It looks like we will have to wait until the 2020 season to find out.
