Bad news is making its way around Eagles Nation this morning, as Albert Breer broke the news that Lane Johnson’s 10-game suspension was upheld after his hearing last week. Johnson’s suspension will become official at 4 PM today. The loss of Lane Johnson is a serious one, as he is perhaps the Eagles best offensive lineman. Howie Roseman and Doug Pederson have put a plan in place to replace him however. Current left guard Allen Barbre could be moved to right tackle, or the Eagles may start rookie 5th round pick Halapoulivaati Vaitai who has received some attention as of late. Johnson is eligible to return for a Thursday night football game against the Giants, and can play all games going forward including the season finale against Dallas.
