Released today by Major league soccer, Cristian “Chaco” Maidana has been suspended one more game and fined an undisclosed amount.  The spitting incident in the 94th minute of play against N.E Revs was reviewed by the MLS Disciplinary Committee.  Their original suspension, was one red card game and two additional games.  After an appeal by the MLS players Union, the Committee agreed to suspend Maidana one more game to the red card and the fine.  In total, Maidana will miss two Union games starting with tomorrow’s game against the San Jose Earthsquakes for the original red card suspension.  He will miss the 9/12 Columbus Crew game for the additional one game suspension.

Cristian Maidana will be available to play on 9/20 against Houston at PPL Park.  That incidentally will be the first game Sheanon Williams will be at PPL Park, as an opponent.   More importantly Maidana will be available for the 9/30 U.S. Open Cup against Sporting KC.
