5,551 yards rushing, with 34 rushing touchdowns. 3,886 rushing yards, and 30 touchdowns.
All the stats went out the window. The only one left?
For weeks now, RB LeSean McCoy had been taunting QB Michael Vick. McCoy had called him “old man,” and had challenged him to a footrace o numerous occasions.
Vick had had enough. According to ProFootballTalk.com, Vick asked Head Coach Chip Kelly is he could accept McCoy’s offer. Kelly agreed, and the two lined up.
40 yards later, McCoy bit the dust, finishing five yards behind his quarterback.
“So today at the field 1 of my teammates called me old,” Vick tweeted, “Beat him by a few yards too lol,”
Ultimately, this means nothing. Vick’s problems last season had nothing to do with his speed. LeSean McCoy is still one of the most elusive running backs in the NFL. The important thing for Eagles fans is this two of the fastest players ran a race, but they ran it wearing Eagles practice jerseys.
