For the first time in a long time, Philadelphia experienced a full playoff drought.

Let the blame game begin.

The Philadelphia Flyers dropped a game to the Senators Thursday, and then to Buffalo Saturday. Philadelphia now stares across the playoff horizon, on the outside looking in.

The game against Ottawa started back-and-forth. Both teams were tied going into period three. The Senators would score two in the period, and win the game.

For the optimistic Flyer fan, Saturday served as the final straw. The game in Buffalo was scoreless, until the Sabres broke the tie early in the third. They hung on to win it, and send the Flyers crash-landing.

Philadelphia fell to 17-21-3. The games are meaningless now, but the Flyers play in Montreal Monday at 7:30 PM.
