The Flyers have finally quelled their four game skid. The victory over a strong Bruins team spiked life into the arena.
It may have come in the nick of time.
The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Boston Bruins Saturday. The win came on the heels of losses to Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, and both New York teams.
The Flyers took an early two goal lead. Moke Knuble and Matt Read provided the first and second period goals. The Bruins came within one, but never tied it. Rusty Fedotenko scored an empty-netter, and the Flyers won 3-1.
Philadelphia improves to 14-17-3, and hosts Washington Sunday, 6:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
