Simon Gagne may only have one goal this season, but his impact is already being felt.

The Philadelphia Flyers hammered the Washington Capitals 4-1 Wednesday. Simon Gagne scored a mere day after returning to Philly.

Captain Claude opened the scoring half a minute into the game. Wayne Simmonds would follow on the power play. Scott Hartnell’s shot fell to Simmonds, and he could do no wrong.
An athletic Kobe-esque fading away shot flew into the top left corner.

Simon Gagne would score in the second period. Max Talbot bumped the lead to four late in the stanza. The Caps would score one in the third, but had no answer to a high-flying Philadelphia Flyers team.

The Flyers improved to 10-11-1, and will host the Senators Saturday, 12:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
