60 minutes of hockey. NHL hockey.

The Philadelphia Flyers stole the victory over the Winnipeg Jets Saturday, 5-3. The back-and-forth battle went down to the wire, as Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, and Zac Rinaldo scored in the third period to win it.

Evander Kane and Brayden Schenn matched wits to score in the first period. The stanza ended with a 1-1 tie. The Jets would take a 3-1 lead in the second period, and the Flyers seemed dazed on the ice.

That is why teams have captains, to save them in times of need.

Claude Giroux sniped one off the bar and into the Jets net. By converting the power play, the Flyers roared back to life.

They would score three more to win it in the third. The Flyers improved to 9-10-1, and host Toronto Monday, 7:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
