This blog will document week 15 injury cases for the Eagles’ 8:20 PM kickoff at home against the Bengals on NFL Network.

FOR THE EAGLES

  • Monday, 4:44 pm: Brent Celek left Sunday’s win in Tampa with a concussion, suffered on the first play. Because of the short turnaround, he is likely out for Thursday night. The Eagles have yet to make a roster move, but they will probably promote TE/FB Emile Igwenagu from the practice squad.
  • LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick are also likely out because of the four day gap between the two games.
  • Monday, 5:05 PM: The Eagles have ruled out both TE Brent Celek(concussion) and DT Mike Patterson with pneumonia for Thursday night’s games.
  • Monday, 8:28 PM: News is coming hard and fast today. Both Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy have passed their respective concussion tests. Both can resume practicing  Tuesday, but it would be non-contact. They must be cleared by an independent neurologist before returning to full practice. We’ll know by tomorrow whether or not McCoy will start.
  • Tuesday, 5:12 PM: TE Brent Celek has passed his ImPACT concussion tests. He is not likely to play Thursday, however.
  • Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy remain alive for Thursday, after participating limitedly in practice Tuesday.
  • Kurt Coleman is a “longshot” to play Thursday, according to Head Coach Andy Reid. Coleman is battling a sternum contusion.
  • Wednesday, 6:50 PM: Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy have been ruled out for Thursday night’s game.
  • The Eagles have placed DT Mike Patterson on the Non-Football Illness list. Subsequently, they have promoted TE/FB Emile Igwenagu to the active 53-man roster.

Inactives: QB Michael Vick, RB LeSean McCoy, RB Chris Polk, TE Brent Celek, WR Greg Salas, OL Matt Kopa, S Kurt Coleman

Emile Igwenagu will make his season debut tonight.

FOR THE BENGALS

  • Rookie CB Dre Kirkpatrick is likely out for Thursday’s game with a head injury.
  • Tuesday, 5:13 PM: Unexpectedly, Kirkpatrick is back at practice, and should play Thursday night.

Inactives: CB Kirkpatrick, K Nugent, RB Peerman, S Iloka, DT Still, DT Thompson, DE Quinn.
