Citing Scott Hartnell’s agent Matt Oates, CSN Philly’s Sarah Baicker reports that the Flyers’ left winger may opt to play hockey in Finland next month.

This, of course, is assuming that a new labor agreement isn’t reached. Sadly, that’s becoming a safe assumption.

Hartnell’s agent noted that, if the lockout continues through November, Hartnell intends to play for KalPa (The Kalevan Pallo). Hartnell is also a minority owner of the team.

This past August, Hartnell (30-years old)  signed a six-year extension to stay in Philly. He would be the ninth Flyer to opt to play oversees during this lockout.
