According to CSN Philly, the Phillies have parted ways with two more players.

The Phillies out-righted infielder Michael Martinez to their Triple-A affiliate. Martinez had seen some time as a starter the last couple of seasons due to injuries. But according to CSN Philly’s report, Martinez .188 batting average over the last 2 seasons was the lowest by any player in the majors with at least 350 at bats.

The Phillies also lost relief pitcher David Hernon today when he was claimed off waivers. Herndon spent the last 3 seasons with the Phillies. He only made 5 appearances this season before getting injured and having Tommy John Surgery in June.

The Phillies active roster is currently at 35 with 4 players on 60-day DL.
