Late Tuesday Night the NHLPA asked the NHL for a meeting to resume CBA discussions Tomorrow  to get a deal signed by the October 25th Deadline in order to save the 82 Game Regular Season Schedule.

The NHLPA Said the following in an email to NHL: “We are willing to meet [Wednesday] or any other date without preconditions to try to reach an agreement,”

The NHL responded to the NHLPA Request for meeting and it was “NO”

NHL Bill Daly said the following “Given NHLPA position on league’s last proposal unwillingness to offer a new one, he’s unsure why 2 sides would meet.”

Daily would also said reguarding CBA negotiation go into a deep freeze, “I suspect so. Back to the drawing board. Unfortunate.”

NHLPA’s Steve Fehr: “The League is apparently unwilling to meet. That is unfortunate as it is hard to make progress without talking.”
