According to CSN’s Derrick Gunn, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson will be activated from the team’s PUP list.
During training camp last season, Patterson collapsed on the field and had a seizure. Patterson was diagnosed with AVM, a brain malformation. He was still able to play all but one regular season game last season. Patterson had surgery to correct the AVM in the off-season. Monday will be his first time practicing since surgery.
Gunn did mention that, while he was cleared to practice and has been activated, he’s still not close to returning to game action. But given the severity of the situation just last summer, this is certainly reason to celebrate.
